Maybe you will say that the noise from a coffee shop is distracting and it won’t help you to focus. Actually, it helps you!
According to a study published in The Journal of Consumer Research the level of ambient noise of a coffee shop (~70 decibels) stimulates creativity, compared with the quieter (~50 decibels). Moderate noise levels can distract you just enough so that they think more broadly. When you’re mildly distracted, all the analytical, judgmental, orderly parts of your brain are quieted. You never know who the person next to you is or what is he doing on a daily basis. You have the freedom to only get in touch with the person that you want. At your office you should know everybody but in here you can get to know only certain people. At the same time, you can be in the presence of others without the need of starting a conversation with them.

If you feel hungry or just need a drink then you only need to order. You can only focus on what you’re doing, you don’t have to worry about having to cook something or having to go to buy a tea.
